Advisor Associate (licensed) 

The Advisor Associate shall be licensed and will provide client service for the practice. Key roles include preparation of annual reviews, financial plan preparation, research reports, insurance illustrations and client communication program. Serves as the expert on client technology tools needed in the practice, including but not limited to eMoney, Morningstar, Compass, Docupace, Envestnet, FMG Suite and any other software deemed needed for the practice

Requirements: Series 7 and 66 license and health/life insurance license within 6 months of hire. Pass background check. Maintain confidentiality. Exhibit accuracy.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or applicable experience in the financial industry.


  • Handle all client service work
  • Client and prospect appointment preparation
  • Input e-Money Plans
  • Create Investment Plans
  • Create Insurance Proposals
  • Create Advisory Proposals
  • Connect with vendors to acquire illustrations and product comparisons
  • Client communications through FMG Suite marketing program
  • Other duties as assigned

Production Expectation

  • Complete all financial plan input and assist the advisor in completing the plan
  • Utilize Morningstar to assist the advisor in research and portfolio development
  • Complete all insurance illustrations
  • Complete all Investment Plan hypotheticals as needed for the advisor
  • Create and complete all advisory proposals for assigned cases
  • Efficiently handle all client service work in a timely manner
  • Get all input and creation of proposals done on time and with accuracy
  • Ensure the proper function and maintenance of the client service system and follow up to appropriate team members
  • Utilize FMG Suite to create and maintain automated client and marketing communications

Quarterly Objectives

  • Efficiently and effectively handle 100% of client service calls and messages
  • Completion of all necessary plans and proposals on time
  • 100% of client service work done on time and issues handled
  • 100% attainment of quarterly goals

Eligibility for Promotion to Advisor

  • Effectively and efficiently handles all assigned duties
  • Verbally requests an opportunity to be promoted
  • Obtains all needed licenses
  • Demonstrates agreed upon new client generation which contributes to total gross revenue of practice
  • Demonstrates the ability to direct staff in all functions of the practice
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the client service system and how it functions
  • Demonstrates ability to handle all client service work
  • Demonstrates ability to handle all client calls appropriately
  • Demonstrates competency with all software programs
  • Interacts well with clients and staff
  • Complete all training necessary with Waddell & Reed
